Grainger fan: Dayton 2LY97

Karrie the alternate replacement capacitor for the Dayton 2LY97 fan does not fit in the enclosure and the terminals do not sit under the rubber boot. Do we have a better replacement cap for this standard Granger replacement part?

Thanks!

track light in FA 215

When I fixed the track light in FA 215 I took the opportunity to aim the front track at the presentation boards and chalkboard. Wattstopper occupancy sensor did not register my entry. Labels have been modified and are clearer. Fluorescent fixture at center back row under heating ductwork has intermittent flicker.

Dance BA lights

These are incandescent lights with a photocell at the first door.
If the District is going to keep these trailers, HID lighting would be appropriate here.

Baseball: $120 a year but $1200 today

I've been here in about 10 years and we have never changed a light bulb on the baseball scoreboard ever.

There's 300 light bulbs in the score board there're three-four dollars each. It's $200 for the day to rent the lift with the delivery costs included. There're some other things also required like something to loosen light bulbs out some hand protection etc. So that's at least $1200.

The useful life of the lamps is 8000 hours which means that after 8000 hours half of them should be finished. So assume they are on 10 hours a week for half the year it should be 10 years before they need a group relamp again. So that amortizes out at $120 a year but $1200 today.

Nice thing is I found a source for light bulbs so instead of $3/4 dollars each I get them for $.79. So that $1200 is going to be closer now to $300 and the baseball team's going to pay for the lift!

Net result is
$30 a year but $300 today.
It just keeps getting better!
